Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is known for roles in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her showbiz career as a child. Her roles included lead characters in TV dramas as young as the age of 16. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. This film was nominated for an Oscar and received critical and commercial popularity. Other Oscar nominated movies featuring the famous diva are The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra is engaged in numerous important projects both locally and internationally. They include the British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historic miniseries Napoleon among others.
